Meet Terri: Your compassionate doula
Hello and welcome to Terri's Doula Services. I'm Terri, and I'm deeply passionate about supporting families through the profound journeys of birth, postpartum, fertility, and loss. Discover what drives my commitment to caring for you and your family.

My journey to becoming a doula
Originally from England, I made Nova Scotia my home 15 years ago. With 20 years of experience in caring roles, my path truly shifted eight years ago when I started my own family. My loving husband, two wonderful children, and two lively basset hounds fill my life with joy. I've always been drawn to midwifery, but my heart called for a role that offered more personal care and support rather than a purely medical focus.

Understanding loss and advocating for you
My personal journey includes navigating three pregnancy losses, which has given me a profound understanding that not every path to parenthood is easy. This experience led me to delve deeply into the fields of fertility and loss, where I've gathered invaluable resources and insights. Furthermore, my own children's medical issues have made me a strong advocate, well-versed in navigating the medical field and ensuring families receive the best possible support.

My philosophy: Support, education, and advocacy
My unique approach is rooted in my educational background, my unwavering ability to advocate for your needs, and the strong, proven bonds I build with families. I hold a bachelor's degree in Education Studies from England and spent 15 years working with adults and children with various disabilities. This experience, combined with my recent work as an EPA, has honed my skills in compassionate care and effective support. I hope clients feel truly supported and heard throughout our time together.
